How should I pack my china and glasses?
Carefully, using appropriate materials such as packing paper, bubble pack and placed in a heavy duty carton.

How should I package my pictures?
There are two options. For watercolour paintings, prints or mirrors packing in bubble pack or export blanket is most effective. Oil paintings must never be packed in bubble pack as sweating may damage the painting and export paper, or a picture carton is best.

May I use my own cartons?
Yes, you can. We do, however, advise you to use specifically designed cartons, such as those available in our online shop. If we are conducting your relocation we provide you with ten free cartons, which we request that you use for your glass and china.

How many cartons do I require?
From experience we suggest that the average three bedroom property will use the contents of a ‘Home Packing Kit’. Larger properties would require the ‘Large Home Packing Kit’ and possible some supplementary materials too.

Can I order additional cartons?
The cost of delivery is not included in the price of the carton. You can therefore request further deliveries but each order will incur a delivery charge, depending on both the delivery area and size of order. Our removal clients are entitled to one free delivery.

Are your cartons suitable for overseas moves?

Our range of cartons is extensive and some of the materials at the lower end of the range are not suitable for overseas removals. All goods should be packed in heavy-duty cartons for safety with extensive use of bubble pack to protect delicate items.

Is there a discount available for larger orders?
Both our home packing kits are discounted. If your requirements exceed that of a packing kit or you require a large number of a single items please complete a contact form and we will e-mail a revised offer.

Can you supply used cartons at a lower cost?
Dependant upon stock levels we are sometimes able to offer used cartons, please contact us with your requirements.

Do you buy back unused cartons?
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer this facility.

Do you recycle your used cartons?

If we have suitable cartons available we offer these for reuse. Once cartons have been used twice they are unsuitable for our purpose and therefore are compacted and sent for recycling.

Are your cartons made from recycled materials?
Simpsons Removals & Storage Ltd uses many thousands of cartons per annum. We are committed to recycling and, where possible, all of our paper products are recycled. Even our company letterhead is printed on recycled paper.
